The
conferences will be held at the Faculty of Letters, in the campus of Alava,
University of the Basque Country.
The
Campus of Alava is product of an
integration process of several historical educative centres of the city, as
well as the creation of new ones appeared after the University of the Basque
Country started up. The Faculty of Philosophy and Letters created in 1978 and established
in the building of the Seminary, had study programmes in different Philology
sections: Classical, Romance, English, French and Basque, in addition to the
degree in Geography and History. In December 1978, the Faculty of Letters moves
to the current building in the University Avenue. This structure is a central
building, about 200 meters away from the railway station and very well
connected through the public and inter-city transport (http://www.araba.ehu.es/p208-content/es/contenidos/centro/vra_ubicaciones/es_situ/como_acceder_al_campus.html).
Situation of the Faculty of Letters inside the
Campus of Alava
The Faculty of Letters is located at the
University Avenue 5 (Paseo de la Universidad, 5). All the sessions will be held
there, as well as the opening and closing sessions. Besides, there is a hall
that will be used as a meeting point among the participants as for the
presentation of the posters and the closing snack. At both sides of it there
are located the “Aula Magna” and the “Salón de Grados” (the lecture hall where
the sessions will take place).
Nearby, there can be found the cafeteria (in the
same building) as well as two dining rooms (in an annexed building): one of
them in the ground floor with a capacity of about 148 places and the second
one, “Sukabi”, in the first floor with 100 places. In the faculty cafeteria
there is an available area with internet access and team work space, called
IKD.
